Ristomatti, an alumnus of Turku School of Economics, collaborated with the university to create a distinctive pocket square designed to embody the school’s history and values. This initiative was conceptualized by the university and its partners, aiming to produce a business gift that was both symbolic and functional. Collaborating with Wanha Narikka for distribution and Herrainpukimo as the production partner, the project saw Ristomatti adopt Raimo Kanerva’s artwork “New Dawn” into the pocket square design. This artwork, originally crafted for the university’s 50th anniversary, required careful graphic design work to transform its symbolic elements, such as the Corinthian and birch pillars, Mercury, and other thematic icons, into a square / fabric-compatible format. Produced by Herrainpukimo, this elegant pocket square serves as a memorable gift for visiting lecturers and staff, and is available for public purchase. A non-profit foundation also joined the project as a benefactor, providing support for the university’s operations and enriching this meaningful collaboration.
